Atlantic Marine Services was originally founded and registered in Dubai in 2001 with a view to providing flexible services to oilfield Operators.  At that time, the company started off by providing rig management services in the Arabian Gulf.  In 2006, AMS attracted external investors, acquired two offshore rigs and was listed on the OTC stock exchange in Oslo under the new name of Atlantic Oilfield Services. In May 2007, the company was taken over by KS Energy Services Ltd., a company listed on the Singapore mainboard stock exchange, providing a variety of oilfield products and services( www.ksenergy.com.sg). The combined KS Energy/Atlantic Oilfield Services fleet consist of about twenty oilfield support and drilling assets, wholly or partly owned and/or managed.

The senior management of AOS is primarily drawn from the major drilling contractors and brings extensive hands-on oilfield experience in operations, drilling, logistics and project management. This experience has been gained on projects ranging from heli-rigs in the jungles of Malaysia to operating mobile desert rigs around the Arabian peninsula to HPHT North Sea jack-up operations to semi-submersibles and drill ships. Through experience we have learnt to be innovative, flexible, adaptable and responsive to Client demands.

En route to gaining this wealth of experience, our operational team have managed various new building, construction, conversion and shipyard upgrade projects involving land rigs, drill ships, jack-ups and offshore accommodation facilities. The top ten management of AOS have an average of 25 years experience in the operational management of drilling rigs whilst having managed projects and programs well in excess of 1.0B$ over the last 20 years.

The company is operating out of its strategically positioned head office in Dubai with regional branch offices in Amsterdam, Esbjerg, Singapore, Beijing, Houston and Cairo.
